FIRING THE L98 ON A 25 YD RANGE

All cadets are safely trained in the use of any weapon held in both the Squadron and Corps inventory.

On our squadron we have access to Air Rifles and .22 calibre target rifles which we fire on our local ranges.

When a cadet reaches 14 years of age the cadet L98 Rifle is introduced into the programme of training.

Cadets are encouraged to attain good skills in marksmanship by both competition and target shooting drills.

All activities are undertaken with adult supervision. All are qualified to ensure safety is always paramount.

FULL BORE SHOOTING DATES AND LOCATIONS 2010   NEW WEAPON TRAINING WILL TAKE PLACE DURING THE EARLY PART OF THE YEAR FOR STAFF AND CADETS.   MILLPOOL/ ST.MAWGAN     25TH SEPT 17TH OCT 21ST NOV 5TH DEC     TREGANTLE   13TH NOV     WILLSWORTHY   11TH SEPT 10TH OCT 11TH DEC         We will be shooting on our own .22 and Air rifle ranges on a regular basis in our summer programme.
